Have folks here actually created a new user on their PS3's, as so far from the RD-..... gamertags shown at the start of this thread, I've only been able to send friend requests to

Hugo (RD-Hugo)
Jesper (RD-JTaulborg)
Patrick (RD-PatjeF1)

When I try the others, PSN tells me the ID's do not exist on the network.

I have my regular PSN username, but I simply created a new one (RD-Dazmaniac) and signed it up for the Playstation Network. Now when I log on to the PS3, I have 2 users to choose from, my regular user and also my RD user. This way I can play my own games with my own user-name, and when racing with RD I'll log in with my newly created RD-Dazmaniac ID.

It appears some folks have just changed the name of their existing PS3 user to the RD-.... format, but their actual PSN ID remains as it was originally created, so I'm unable to add as friends.

:)

You did the right thing Daz :)

That would be ok, but I want to have one record of my results, rather than having 2. I don't see a problem in racing without an RD tag in your name.

Appreciate what you're saying Ross, but the same could be said for RD as a whole.

I don't see a problem racing online with my online 'nickname' in the likes of GTR2, F1 2010, rFactor etc. but Race Department stipulate that you have to apply for a license and then race under your real name. I guess what Hugo is asking for with GT5 is only similar.

I will only use my RD... user for online GT5 races set up by the guys at Race Department. The rest of the time I'll be playing GT5 outside of RD with my usual PS3 username.

:)
