And Viljar Parts leads the field home, with the two Jaguars just behind, Eddie Jordan's eyes water again
"This is our Season!" he says to Gary Anderson. The Jaguar cars pull up next to the Jordan of Parts and it's congratulations all round. Duivilaar in the second Jordan finishes fourth, with Van Waes' BAR in fifth, and Omer Said's crashed Sauber gains them a token half-point

~Report~

And it is GO GO GO at Phoenix. Great start from Viljar Parts in the Jordan, slipstreaming past Sebastien Levret into third place. bduddy runs wide at Turn One and has to slap on the brakes, losing him bags of time. By Lap Eight Viljar Parts is all over the gearbox of Honk and is ready for the move. Getting the better run out of Turn 15, down the main straight he makes his move. He gets it, but Honk deftly moves back into Turn One. The battle continues

On Lap Nineteen, bduddy pits after gaining a puncture. He's filled up to the brim with fuel and sent back out again. With open track infront of him, he is near the leaders pace, but he has a lot of ground to make up.

Most of the leaders pit around lap 26, and all stops go without a hitch. Peter Duivilaar is now the fastest man on the track, but from seventh, he will struggle to challenge with the leaders.
The Jordans are really revelling in these conditions, and Viljar Parts outbrakes Honk at Turn 9 and jumps past on Lap 35.

The Second pitstop window starts on Lap 38, and disaster strikes, Honk and Sebastien Levret pit at the same time, due to a communication error. The Jaguars are now further behind Parts' leading Jordan, but closer together, and Levret is faster.

On lap 43, Duivilaar makes his move on Van Waes' BAR for fifth place. At this stage in the race, Parts leads from Honk, Levret third, Said's Sauber in fourth, Duivilaar in fifth, with Van Waes in sixth.

On Lap 51, Said clips the barrier and damages his suspension. He carries on going until Lap 53, but the clerk of the course gives him the Black and Orange flag, and he pulls into retirement.

On the final lap, Sebastien made his move into Turn One, leaping past teammate Honk, and although he tried desperatly, that was that. Viljar Parts takes the flag fom Sebastien from Honk with Duivilaar fourth.

~Round 2- Adelaide, Australia~
adelaide_map1.gif

Laps:65
Lap Record: 1:15.381 (D. Hill)

By popular demand, we're back in Adelaide for 2003. Last raced at in 1996, it was a crowd favourite until it was replaced with the ever exciting Melbourne. This track was the site of Niki Lauda's last race, Keke Rosberg's last win, Mansall's spectacular blowout, and the shortest race in F1 history, lasting just 14 laps. Not for the faint hearted

N.B. When reffering to the points system, I am looking for the number of finishers, not competitiors

Hello and welcome to Adelaide in Sunny Australia for Round Two of the 2003 Formula One world Championship. After a length absense, we are back at the driver's favourite circuit. The technology has advanced since 1995, but the challenges are ever more present
And the cars are lining up on the grid....
