SAUBER VS MERCEDES IN TESTING​

Omer Said was unable to find a way passed Chant​

James Chant fought off a determined Omer Said to win the opening Pre Season Test at Jerez. The new Mercedes driver never put a wheel wrong meaning that Omer was unable to overtake. Joel Wraith took 3rd in his first race for Lotus after a pit mistake from the Sauber Team forced Linus Brostrom down to 4th. Linus' teammate, Aidan Keranen had a race long battle with Jean-Francois Godin but got overtaken on the final lap by the Ferrari driver.

Further back, S16 Runner-Up, Hiroshi Awazu, struggled to get used to the new Williams and he could only manage 7th, just ahead of Peter Duivelaar who spun on the opening lap after a collision with F4talN1k. F4tal was unable to continue however. The two Caterhams of Garry Pullen and Thomas Hackel were 9th and 10th, ahead of new Williams driver, Mohammed Abidi who had mechanical problems throughout the race. Alexander Macdonald had a suspension failure while in 3rd position, ending his race early.

The next Pre Season Test is a Feature Race at the French Circuit of Paul Ricard.

Mr. Brawn sent me a juicy contract offer a while ago. Unless James is too worried about having his No.1 driver role taken away from him I may sign with Mercedes
