HONK returns to form as rain effects play!

With the rain falling in Malaysia, Rainmeister Thomas Hackel takes the checkered flag as McLaren flounder.

Thomas Hackel was back on form today to take his 1st win for 28 races! Hackel was quoted as saying;

Its great to finally be back at the sharp end after a dismal season last year, I just hope that we can continue to repeat these kind of results.

Ondřej Kapal seems to have overcome the Ferrari's reliability issues by bringing the car home first, even if it did break down on the cooldown lap.

HRT was once again delighted by Georgios Davakos's stunning performance to come home 4th although the rain helped slow down the competition.

Mercedes has mixed fortune as they grabbed 3rd with new driver Chris Butcher but also a DNF from Chris Rigby. Mercedes had this to say;

Great result from Chris Butcher but slighly concerned about Chris Rigby as this is the 2nd DNF now, we know that F1 is a big step for most drivers but if drivers cant deliver consitently after a few races then we have problems

Stan James Racing were a little dissapointed after a 1-2 in testing and a possible 1-2 in Australia but simply but their poor performance down to the weather conditions on track.

McLaren made a big error when both drivers came in on the same lap to change tires, which led to a delay, to further compound their issues they fitted the wrong tires to Babacan's car which gave him so little grip that when he exited the pitbox he did a complete 180 and took both his and Ludlums front wings off and running over a small hedgehog, effectively ending their races.
