This week we make a run around the Eastern part of the USA hitting a few of the regular venues as well as one of the most modern new facilities in the country. It all ends at a Classic on Saturday evening for a true Ironman event using the Aussie V8 Supercars.

If you like GT Sports car for their good handling and speed, pull out your car and trailer it to Barber Motosport Park in Birmingham Alabama on Tuesday for a run on this beautifully modern track with it's folded design that snakes back and forth through the natural terrain of the country. Be careful, the simple design may not be that easy to master!

Moving North to Elkart Lake, Wisconsin we run with the STCC cars on what is truly America's favorite road course. Can you get the braking right at the end of the Moraine Sweep, carry speed through the Carusel and not overdo it at the "kink", let's find out! In the end, it's a straight drive up the hill to the finish!

You can't get anymore "middle America" than Mid Ohio. This track, included in the Race On addition to Race 07 with the chicane, was long waited for and with good reason. It offers a wonderful combination of twisties and speed, hard on tires and requiring "special care" in some corners but always fullfilling when a lap is done correctly. Even the lowly Mini Cooper will find this track to be a challenge but what can you do with it?

For two weeks RD's Race 07's club regulars have been running to the forum to secure spots on the grid for the Aussie V8 Supercars Ironman event. If you wanted to join now you'll probably find yourself on the reserves list, as of this writing most all the grid spots have been filled! Yves Larose, a past '07 staffer and GTL driver prepared us with an opportunity to enjoy Gunthar Rowe's much loved and often demanded V8 Supercars! After running an opening event at Misano, the field is ready to rejoin for an 80 minute long battle at Florida's famous endurance track, Sebring. This fantastic track, brought to us by Virtua VLM replicates the real version very well. while it's "just" an airport circuit, with really nothing special about it, it presents a special challenge as an endurance event track and while 80 minutes is shorter than the span of the real race, the challenge remains the same. Bring the best you have or come up short at this American Classic!
