Race #07, Monaco: Race Briefing

Discussion in 'Formula SimRacing' started by David Dominguez, Jun 19, 2011.

  1. Welcome to the 7th race of the 2011 Formula SimRacing World Throphy season in Monaco.

The password to join the server will be visible when you log in to GPCOS in the Control Center next to the server's IP address.

Following drivers (7) have automatically gained the right to race in Grid 1. The listed drivers are NOT ALLOWED to take part in Pre-Qualifying:

    Allocations : 25

    Penalties to apply
    License status

The Pre-Qualifying session will be 10 minutes in length. The session will be run in Private mode without Parc Ferme. The session will also be closed, this means that it will impossible for people to join while the session is running. The top 17 from Pre-Qualifying will make it in to Grid 1.

The Free Practice session will be 10 minutes in length and will be run in the "Practice 1" session. Every participating driver should join as soon as possible after the server opens to make sure that they don't miss the start of Qualifying and also to make sure that their game is configured & working properly.

The Qualifying 1 session will be 10 minutes in length and will be run in the "Practice 2" session. Drivers can use what ever setup they want, as long as they only drive with qualifying fuel loads.

The Qualifying 2 session will be 5 minutes in length. Only the top 10 drivers from Qualifying 1 will be allowed to go out on track. Drivers will be allowed to do one flying lap (one outlap, hotlap and inlap). Parc Ferme will be enforced. You will only be allowed to change your fuel load, engine boost, engine brakemap, front wing angle, steering lock, brake balance and brake pressure after the session is over, so make sure you have your race setup loaded when entering Qualifying 2. The session will be closed, meaning if you happen to join late, or for some reason drop out of the server during the session, you will not be able to rejoin the server until the server has moved to Warmup.

The Warmup session will be 10 minutes in length. While in the garage, make sure you add the appropriate amount of fuel in to your car for the race. Remember, refueling is banned. You can drive freely in the Warmup session to try to get a feel for the heavier car after qualifying on low fuel.

The Race will be 59 laps long. Drive safely during the race, especially at the start and the first lap in general.

Red Flags will NOT be used unless in very specific situations which are specified in the rule documents. The Safety car will not be available for use.

  3. No, we are going to use the same server as always. It's online again.

hello, wats the procedure for using the FSR tools thing, and all that? i cant find a procedure anywhere.
  5. do we run it for pq also?
  6. @Mo

Run the FSR Manager.exe before you join to the server for pre-Q. Put your name, the race number (7), password and "Run rFactor". If you have the .plr file as expected, you don't need to do anything more for now.

Yes, you need to run it for preQ also.
  7. i need help when i go to click run rfactor i get it saying driver PLR file not found
  8. please this cant be happening... 10 mins before pq...
  9. i have root as : E:\Program Files\FSR 2011\rFactor

    driver name: Clayton Nelmes

    race no: 7

Pass: the pass and clicked fullproc command
  10. Still having the same issue ?
  11. It's just saying driver PLR file not found... nothing on that site u sent looks like what i get.
  12. E:\Program Files\FSR 2011\rFactor is that the right root?
  13. I don't know Clayton, only you know where have you installed the game.
  14. this is fantastic the one thing which was going to ruin it has happened
  15. userdata folder is inside the rFactor directory?
  16. it's saying driver name was not selected? wtf
  17. of course it is. all my folders are inside rfactor folder
  18. My last suggestion is just to check what Mikko said in that thread, even if it's for a different problem ... I can't wait more, sorry. If you can fix it you can join during the preQ session.
  19. What about deleteing your fsr manager and redo sim synch? BUT you'd need to re overwrite the monaco update stuff if you sim synch. Or create a new .PLR I don't know
