Race #04, Monaco: Post-Race Discussion

think you guys are being a bit harsh really.
i caused the pileup on the 2nd lap...for which im very sorry for.

i wasn't even fighting with anyone, i lost it on a corner i've never lost it before in testing once, the long left hander going into casino...the car slid, i corrected it, it then slid the other way, and i ended up in this locked skid drift going round casino, where the car came to a stop.

unsighted, guy in 4th went straight into me,he had no where to go.

i then had bad damage on right side of car. ive never driven the car with bad damage before. i drive to the next corner, brake, and the car just skid sideways again, and now i stopped sideways at Mirabeau.

that caused a major pileup, and i just had to sit there parked whilst cars tried to make their way through.

once that skid starts in rfactor you can't even bring the car back.... blame rfactor physics if anything. It just makes it very very difficult to drive on a track like monaco.

im sure all drivers in WT dont intend to take anyone out, or crash or spin.

Ive never seen in real life people losing it on the left hander like i did.....but ive seen in real f1 pileups at mirabeau and lowes hairpin. So....even the best mess up at monaco.

replay of my crash(es)

You can say that qualifying went well. Was 2 all qualfyings but the last one i did not what rules it was. So when i drove my 4 lap i got a dnf.

In the race i started 10 due to my dnf in q2. In the start i just wanted to get away without any damage so i was very carefull. It really helped being carefull due to the fact that 3 drivers crashed infront of me. After the first corner i was 12 and i could begin overtaking from 12 to 3 in just 3 laps. On lap 10 my steering wheel pedal broke. You can see a picture of it here. Lost 15 seconds that lap then after that i lost 2.5-5 seconds per lap due to the fact that i could not use 100% of throthle. When i did use 100 % it hurt to much. Did only use like 85%. When i made my first pit stop i ran as fast as i could around the house looking for a right shoe so i could use 100% throthle. Lost maybe 6 seconds looking for a shoe during the pitstop. After that it was just driving it back to the finish line and watch everybody else crash infront of me.
I really felt that i could get a hang of Petar briljak beliving i was making the same lap times as him until lap 10 and I could run 14's easily if things was okay.

@Mo what's with the sounds? @Tommy wow... you sure had a difficult race with that real-life-incident. :D

i do agree though, if people were ramming people offf coz they were frustrated coz they couldnt overtake...........well thats pretty bad. i wouldnt expect that in a proffessional league like this.

Guys, first of all. I didnt crash him, because I wasnt able to overtake....

Nich Fischer made a mistake, so I got side by side with him. He turned into me, when we were side by side and I was clearly much quicker than him. The next corner was a left hander an I was infront even with my car just slightly.

But he has taken it like I wasnt even there -> This resulted in both cars wreckage.

What happened after was just pure stupid maneuvre from me, sure.

But dont say, I wasnt able to overtake... thats definetly not the case!

EDIT: It was me send to space when you made your mistake Mo...

That race was pretty much what I expected. Big mess in the beginning.

Qualifying was OK for me. Just made it to Q2 where I messed up my lap but just by finishing the lap I got P6.

In the race my first goal was to get through T1 without any major damage and I just made it. Then came lap 2 (I think) and there was some huge crash behind turn 4 which I almost avoided. After that my steering was wierd because of messed up front suspension and I began to lose positions.

But yeah it was pretty annoying to know that someone will do those "surprise" dives when they get frustrated and that caused some other damage also. Then the car was undriveable and you know what may happend after that in Monaco.

I don't blame anyone because in the first three races i've been able to do some great racing and this was just Monaco.
