Project CARS received its latest addition to the GT family with the new Mercedes AMG GT3 finding its way into the sim at no cost to existing owners of the game.

The new AMG GT3 is a free addition to all platforms of the game and is available to download from Friday 15th April.

Replacing the hugely successful AMG SLS the new AMG GT3 is part of the "new" generation of GT3 machines and sports aggressive aerodynamic styling coupled with the legendary 500hp normally-aspirated 6.3 litre V8 engine.

With the introduction of this new model into the game alongside its older brother the SLS GT3 offers fans an interesting opportunity to test 2 generations of the German marque's main GT3 challengers and it will be interesting to see how the differences translate in game.

This release is the latest in a long line of ON-DEMAND post launch DLC made available in Project CARS and offered at no additional cost is a generous gift from Slightly Mad Studios, the developers behind the popular Xbox ONE, PS4 and PC racing simulation.

Project CARS Mercedes AMG-GT3 is available to download now.

RaceDepartment Project CARS Club Races are held regularly throughout the week on all versions of the title. Check out the Project CARS forum for details of the events, user created setups, latest mods and of course all the news and discussions around this sim.

So far the SLS is winning out in most aspects. They've managed to shave 1 lbs, and 50hp off the new car. It looks cool but is very oversteery perhaps if they updated the rest of the GT3 class to provide more parity between the cars it would be a viable option. Seems they are reducing all the new cars to run with the Ginetta.
