Pre-race weights - Brawn not running light

Discussion in 'Formula 1' started by Neil Gault, Mar 28, 2009.

  1. For the 2009 season, the FIA are making public the weights of all cars ahead of the race start to help give an idea of relative fuel load. The cars that made Q3 are weighed after qualifying, while the weights of the remaining cars must be declared by their teams shortly after the session. The details from Melbourne show that Brawn GP were not running light, despite their impressive pace.

The weights, sorted by grid order, are:

    1. Jenson Button, Brawn GP, 664.5kg
    2. Rubens Barrichello, Brawn GP, 666.5
    3. Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull, 657

Damian excellent calculations. Blimey I am studying mathematics and getting that kinda calculations would have been an achievement by itself. I have two exams on monday and my head hearts. Binary and Complex numbers.

  5. This sort of information should of been public since the fuel load in Q3 rule. Although I'd prefer to see it at the start of Q3.

  6. i just wish they'd drop the whole race fuel thing from q3 and make them declare it to the fia before the start of the session...
