This was Montreal and other leagues as well!

i request the pit stop. and 8sec first pit 3sec 2

maybe you request too much before or too much close of the pitbox.
It takes 25/30s to have the pit ready so if you request just before the final corner, it fails and the pit costs 8s (maybe damage also. )
