F1 2011 PC Newbie

Hello all, my name is Mike and would like to say hi.

I am new to PC racing games having switched from ps3.

These are my system specs, will i have a good experience with these ?

I7-930 @4.1
ASUS P6X58D-E
6GB Hyper X Kingstone 2000 MHz
GTS-250 2GB
Win 7 Ultimate 64

I am really looking forward to modding the game using some of the fine work here done by some very talented members.

You should be okay with that, the graphics card might not let you run everything on ultra or anything, but it'll definitely look better than the PS3.

also I didn't realize they had 2000mhz ram? I thought the limit was 1600.

Thanks for the reply John, yea i have had 2000 for a long time now mate.

The GTS is overclocked to a high level as well so i hope she will handle the game, some of these mods look amazing to say the least.

You got a nice spec Mike but lemme say you do need to change that GPU ( video card ), it's the only thing that is making your pc struggle.
I would recommend save some money and find yourself a Nvidia GTX570 or maybe higher if you have some money at your disposal.

If you lag or have any bad experience it's because of your video card, the rest is beyond fine.

The game is very CPU dependent. Even the reflections are CPU rendered. His CPU is more than adequate. Since he will be using DX9, he should be fine.

My friend is running the game with everything on high with the same video card.
