osw encoder upgrade... sounds crazy?

hi does anyone out there know about the new type of encoder that about to hit the market something like 40,000 cpr to over 2,000,000!
been told its around £150 sound like a good upgrade option I'm sure

From what I have been reading it sounds pointless. If you watch the gamermuscle youtube video where he is using one finger to just touch the wheel and that is showing small variations in input it kind of illustrates that 10000 is likely more than enough and probably 5000 is more than enough.

From what I have gathered in researching options, you can upgrade to a higher quality servo, like the Kollmorgen or Danaher but unsure how much improved those would be..
