when i try to change the options for anything i click and nothing happens ?

Are the file permissions on racer.ini ok? In recent Windows (Vista/7) it's pretty easy to end up with the Racer folder set to read-only, which means the program can't edit the settings, as they're all done with .ini files in the game folder.

I think if you try 'Run as Administrator' that might fix it, or you can change the folder settings so users have permissions.
