Any hardware techs out there that can identify this? Something being machined? A Jig?
Ok, they posted a picture of the tooling machine that they are going to use....next will be an aluminium billet...
Start to save up money for the ultra precise "in not near future coming" high end base unit
Fanatec stated on Facebook that the product will be available right away. Hopefully it's a servo wheelbase.
I hope it is a servo setup !!
Time to start saving.
A consumer grade servo base would be great, could come in the $1000-$1500 price point. Would be compatible with the UVH I expect.
Could be a new belt system, console support is unlikely unless something major has changed, my bet is CSWBv2, CSPv3, or even an F1 wheel.
Probably a Servo Wheelbase.
Probably a marketing campaign and you are all falling for it
Falling for what tho? It has to be a wheel, granted, I'm sure the driving force GT states "Power. A lot."
But as Fanatec power baseline is the CSWB it begs an interesting question.
I hope it's not a precise, smooth, rock solid, powerful IPhone holder....
Its what we thought all along
What about the IPhone holder?
Oh noes, my plans for my future rig is about to get a lot more expensive methinks....
Unless the iphone holder is motorised
A servo system which uses a quick release Iphone holder for the wheel, utilising Apples fantastic gyroscope for steering input.....hiring Fanatec? Plenty more great ideas where that came from.
New update today
I hope it is not a ps4 or xbone wheel
Why not? Would having support for console as well as PC ruin the wheel for you in any way?
If it was a servo wheel base i wouldnt understand why it would be compatible with xbox and ps4.
You would not get the best out wheel base on a console.
I was thinking it would be somthing hi-end like acc force setup.
Which is purely pc based.
But we will see what happens
I don't care for console support either, but you won't believe how many CSW owners use it on a console, which for me is a waste of it's potential, but a lot of customers like it.
A lot of people think it is only a motor upgrade for the CSW we will see. I hope for direct drive, but I am not sure.
