Online - Monza invisible barriers - help?!

Hey guys,

So i bought the game a couple of days ago and i love it, i've done a few practise sessions in different cars and then i decided to jump into an online session and take it slow at the back.

I've only raced on Monza online, and i've not raced it offline so i'm not certain if this issue is based on that, but i keep getting this at random points on the track.

It's a barrier that i can drive through but it's highly annoying.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

I have installed a donnington track with a couple of cars. I tried to delete these to see if it sorted the issue out but then it moaned that it was missing .ini files.

Do a steam integrity check, its the only thing I can think of.

Looks like a graphics/driver bug. What's your graphics card, driver version and windows version?

Seems on the official forums that it's linked to windows 10.

I'm on windows 10, GFX: AMD Radeon HD 7800 and the version is 15.200.1062.1004

I've just checked and it only happens online, the offline Monza track in the same car has no barriers.

In Catalyst Control Centre, under the information-software tab what's your catalyst version number?

15.9.1 Beta is the latest version. You could give those a go if you have an older version.

Seems pretty hit and miss at the moment though. Some are saying the newest drivers work while others are saying that it didn't and going back to a windows 8 driver for windows 10 worked.

I'm on windows 7 btw so my knowledge is pretty limited.

So i've done the update and launched Assetto Corsa, now if i select Online or Offline games it loads the black AC loading screen then goes straight back to the screen i was on before. It simply doesn't load anything anymore

Running Nvidia here so I can't really help trying the latest drivers.
I used the catalyst 14.9 on my previous computer. It worked flawessly. You should give that one a try.

Thanks Matheus, that got me playing again.

Apart from improving my FPS from about 60 to 100 (meaning i can turn the graphical settings up, yay!) the new control centre hasn't done anything for me, in regards to the barriers.

I have found that on Monza, the first chicane has a barrier sometimes when i join a server, and not others, Then right before the second chicane, but it had neither just... but then after the 2nd chicane before the first right hander it did... odd.

Hmmm. Short of uninstalling your drivers and going back to an older set I'm not sure what else to try, and given my lack of windows 10 knowledge I'm not sure how to go about it. Sorry

That guy has a similar issue, maybe add your voice there as well. Gonna guess you're on Windows 10 like that poster.

Catalyst 15.7 is working perfectly. Actually never had any issues with AMD cards, so I think you should be looking to Win10 indeed.
Slight security hint, I wouldn't downgrade to 14.9, as there has been some vulnerabilities patched from what I've read somewhere in the 15.x versions. But that ofcourse is your call

I'll have to look into it more tonight, maybe it'll just be patched and there is nothing i can do... I'm slowly regretting upgrading to Windows 10 because of the issues it's caused with this and F1 2015 too (i think)

Although, it is only online - i wonder what makes something different from single player to multi player with the tracks...

More resource usage from what I know. Try adding some AI in singleplayer and see what happens.
