On the way to G5 Classics!! :D

It's awesome!! :)
Download and start the app, then have it running when you are about to do a championship.
Choose car, number of AI etc in single race mode.
And then it's just to pick tracks in the order you like to race them, and the app keeps track of the score, times etc.
When you want to watch the standings you just tab out and press "Check now" and then "Open Result Directory" on the app.
I can confirm: Awesome

great news on those cars. Actually this whole vintage GT/touring racing might be a nice "niche" that R3E could focus on compared to AC/pCars. I would actually love a vintage mode where the races are done not in "todays" world, but in the past. Though of course plenty work to address track textures, change crowd... but looking at some old races, there was just an insane amount of people dangerously close to the tracks :) gives it more of an arena feeling than the sterile look of many of todays tracks.

I'm a huge fan of vintage race cars and would love for more and more and MOAR to be added to R3E. Taking the old Bimmer 635 and Volvo to Mid-Ohio or Laguna Seca is one of my favorite R3E past times. I'd love some "vintage" tracks too, but that's a lot more work, obviously.

Happy with the cars, I like to think that this sim is going to be a bit more focused than the likes of PCARS and AC and really specialise in GTs and touring cars, both new and historic. Looking forward to seeing the grids fill out, with my only possible concern being covering too many years/categories with individual cars and not enough that group together naturally.

That said, the not-a-935 is great addition to the Group 5 field, assuming it's slowed down from the pace of the Fabcar to represent that 'other machine of the era' (a 935/77 in historic racing is one of my earliest motorsport memories), and I guess the Skyline will fit the touring classics class, that will hopefully be split into early- and late-era Group A at some point.

Have you got GT Legends? Still modern day tracks (well 2004), but 90 60s/70s/80s cars and still a great game now.

"GT Legends Experience"

Do it Sector 3. Just do it.:)

Everyone wants it. Come on, you know they do....;)

We all want this, badly, and I'm sure the outrageous success of GTL is not lost on Sector 3. But I believe I saw one of them comment recently that licensing issues would make it very difficult to get all of that content into R3E. But even if we can get a portion of it, there will be much jubilation from the hills to the valleys to the rivers and oceans. And there will be much rejoicing. "yay".

Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo, would be sort of missing car for DRM80 (G5 classic pack + Porsche 935 + BMW M1 + some slower cars). As Rodger Davies mentioned a bit bigger grids would be cool.
nice website to fill those "classes" ;) http://www.racingsportscars.com/championships.html
Mixed class grid racing may be a cool feature in this context as well (depending on how well the AI is prepared for overtaking / passive slow cars).

I don't know what category these would be in....maybe a slightly slower Gr5, but I would like to see the Escort and the Opel Kadet. With those ridiculous body kits and turbos. How cool. Retro is where it's at for us big kids who want to relive our childhood. Besides, Sector 3 nails the sounds on these cars and it would be so jizztastic to crank up the volume.

As far as licensing for GT Legends, yeah, it's a major hurdle...particularly Porsche. Not having them in all these sims hurts for sure but I would take whatever they can come up with. Classic mini, lotus elite, lotus 26R, Cortinas,Triumphs, Austin Healey, .....that Ford Falcon, ugh. We need some of the tracks, at least. Magny cours, Rouen, Spa. etc.

Getting worked up. Calm down, Snappy.
