Welcome to RaceDepartment's Racing Club for Project CARS! Project CARS can be played on various platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and we'd like to facilitate and encourage our members to post challenging casual events for members by members.

Platform Prefixes
We now use Prefixes (which you will be required to select when creating a new race (thread).

Setting up a race
First of all start with a plan. Post a thread not at the final moment before you want to race but open it a couple of days in advance. Official RD events are always scheduled a week in advance for the highest change on success.

Secondly order your threads properly and try to make it as simple as possible. Not everybody wants to read a wall of text with requirements. Keep it simple, easy and friend.

Contents of a racing club thread
  • Select a prefix for your platform of choice.
  • Thread Title: Car Class @ Track - Date
  • Thread Content: Use the template that will be posted soon.
Good luck and have tons of fun racing and we hope to see you on track soon!

anyone had any issues not being able to change tires?
I was practicing in the Porsche and I always have wets on...tried changing in tuning setups, pit strategy, doing a pit stop, loading a tune, even tried resetting the game but it always keeps the wets on in practice mode?
I can change them in the time trial but not sure about a race yet.
Seems to work in a race thankfully....ran into a few other issues during a session.
Pit engineer doesn't talk after a few laps
I couldn't request a pit stop through my mapped button and had to manually do it through the ICM
Pit crew disappeared during a pit stop
Engine left the garage with 1% engine damage than blew by turn 2
Telemetry interface disappeared but could scroll through the other onscreen displays

Well, my new pedals won't make it here in time for tomorrow but the bright side is this means I get a fare thee well race to my T3PA's. Seems a lot of dudes are going Ferrari and who can blame'em. Was planning on the same but now I'm thinking Beemer to mix it up a bit in the field and to bring as big a car as @Otune . :D
Maybe I should surprise everyone and show up in something tiny like a Ferrari or McLaren. That would throw everyone off :roflmao:

tagged the wrong person above....thats just me not official RD server
Ahh ok ;) are you hosting from your PC or remote ? I was only concerned because of this :
sniped from SMS >
Primary and most serious issues/concerns:

  • If controlGameSetup : true, all server settings appear to work correctly HOWEVER only one person can join the server. No one else is able to connect either via the online browser or via Steam "Join Game" option
  • If controlGameSetup : false, then everyone is able to join, but car selection is limited to the same vehicle that the "host" is in.

After a bit of testing I did last night, I'm driving the Audi R8, it seems to be the car that fits me here as in Assetto Corsa, strange eh :cautious:
Anyway I wont drive the Ferarri, just to give the rest of you a chance! :D:laugh::x3:

Any pitstops?
Probably :D (weather might change during the race)

But no mandatory pit stops, as that feature only works with manual pit control disabled and when using laps instead of time to determine the race length.

Here are the server settings:

("Collisions = No" just means that the game will not give you a penalty for contact, since having to give back your position according to our club racing rules is enough punishment)

Everyone please remember to use your real name in-game, here is a guide on how to change it.
