Official ACO Statement

"If there was a GT-race running, it had Allan Simonsen on the grid".
Racing has lost a huge talent, appreciated by lots of different teams, drivers and fans all over the globe :(

I've been a big fan of Allan for a good few years, and I feel numb at his loss. There will be many more around the world who feel exactly the same. He leaves behind a wife and a little girl but also a huge amountof fans and admirers. He was a genuinely good guy, liked and respected in paddocks and sseries around the world. You could drop him into anything and he'd be on the pace immediately, which is the mark of a true talent, and I've always wondered why he wasn't snapped up by a works team earlier.

He'll leave a gap in a lot of people's lives. It's a crying shame :( :( :(

This still bring tears to my eyes.

- From now on, the race is sad.

Things like this bring to light the dangers drivers go through to entertain us.

Allan, i thank you for the job you have done over the years, what a shame you cant do it any more.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family in this tough time.
Lets hope the pain ends soon, but his memory is always strong!
