No screen after june update

When I launch Raceroom in VR, the screen on my monitor is now black. The game works in the headset, but nothing on my monitor.
In addition, I cannot change any settings in Video settings:General.
Anybody got an idea of how to troubleshoot?
I launch in vr by using -vr 1.5 in the launch options box.
When I delete that and launch the program, it looks fine on the monitor.

yes go to secondary controls and make a key binding to "VR Toggle Monitor View"

only use -vr without the 1.5 and go to steamvr controls and set there you're desired super sampling.
