I've noticed the Assetto engine does like to do some weird things with shadows...
Apart from that... great is a serious understatement...
How Kunos didn't make these cars is almost laughable... They're Italian...
And these cars from Italy are some of the best examples of Automotive porn ever!

I believe the main problem is Sega and its Out Run series. They've got some archaic longstanding rights with using TR cars in video games. You can still get them, but you have to pay extra. Just like EA and porsche.

If you think the TR is soft and wallowy, be careful wishing for a Testarossa. ;)

This car was built with the engine mounted on top of the gearbox to keep the wheelbase short. Unfortunately, mounting the engine there was a big problem for handling as it's a lot of weight pretty high up in the chassis. Couple that with soft springs - it was more of a GT car than a supercar, really - and it was a proper mess on track. The 512TR addressed the issue by lowering the engine by about an inch but it's still on top of the gearbox, and it's still a GT car so it's not sprung all that aggressively itself.

It handles its bulk gracefully if you keep your inputs in sync with its reactions. Don't toss it around, let it slide into place smoothly and punch the throttle to straighten it up. I'm within a few tenths at most tracks in each car, as is the AI, and which is faster will depend on where you take them. But you have to drive them very differently to get those times.

Okey, this makes a lot more sence. The lift off oversteer is insane on the 512TR. I knew the TR line was more of a GT then a racer, but I never knew V12 Lambos had decent racetrack credibilty, even before Audi got their hands on them. Most period reviews were bitching about how hard was it to drive and so on.

Really? after all theses years... that's just crazy!
Well thanks to this mod... the world isn't quite such a crazy place now :)
Happy Days!

FYI, for this and other/future car mods... you can change the UI stuff around all you like without consequences online or whatnot. There are 3 files you need to deal with:
  1. logo.png in the main car folder
  2. badge.png in the /ui/ subfolder
  3. ui_car.json also in /ui/
To change branding, borrow the logo and badge files from another car of the same make - in this case a Kunos Lamborghini is an ideal donor. Replace both existing files with the new one. Then go into the .json file (opens in notepad) and change line 2 ("brand") to read "Lamborghini" or whatever. That field is case sensitive.

Or use CM, easy to do through the GUI in that one.
