  2. i choose formula gulf based on the fact i have done about 3 formula gulf races on public lobbies and they have been by far my most enjoyable, i think we should vote on circuits as well, would love to race imola in a league race

  3. I voted road cars as i assume that would be the renault clio cup cars?

Sounds like a good option. I guess we would have to go with something similar (either one car or cars that are supposed to perform the same). We can vote on that too if Road Cars are popular.

Yuk I hate the Clio's must be the hardest front wheel drive cars I've ever driven. No Nascar DLC out so I'll have to think about this one. I'm hoping of course we can run another British GT next Spring coinciding with the actual series.
I would have voted for the Trans-Am but the visibility in that car is tough. I'm hoping we can get a few weeks to test before the next series starts up. Hopefully, Patch 3.0 will be out by then. I would like to run a condensed version of Le Mans as well as some American tracks.
I do love the Classic F1 cars those things are pretty awesome. No KERs, No DRS, the way it should be.

Note changes in LMP2 class to "LMP900" because LMP2 run assists and LMP900 (from the mid 1990s) run no assists. LMP1 cars have assists, so I'm not sure they would be viable, but I see they are popular. Perhaps LMP900 cars are a decent substitute. Road cars also have assists, thus the clarification.
  8. We can always turn the assists off

We could, but then they would not be like real life. Since NASCAR pussified the ALMS, the top tier is nowhere near as fast as the Euro LMP1 cars, which are damn close to F1. They are primarily endurance cars, so I'm not really sure how that kind of season would work. I'd not be willing to run them w/o assists myself, since they just wouldn't feel right in a non-endurance setting, like all the other classes run. Maybe in a support series, since they are not technically "open-wheel" which will be the feature. Most of the other classes are no assists anyway.
  10. Yeah I understand the wish to keep it close to real but then we don't run the real length races so some compromise is there anyway. Plus, I took it that the assists were a reason you were saying not to run the LMP1's. I voted for them purely because I've not tried them yet and like to try different cars but will likely go with whatever.

Either way I'll be going no assists again in whatever we try unless the cars prove undriveable without

It gets sort of complicated, because I'm not sure we could be faithful to any series they are in by running sprint races, and that's typically what they do. It may be the only thing they do too. I don't mind them w.o assists either, but put it this way -- it would feel strange either way to me, although I'm sure I could do it. Not sure why I put them in there, as they are not really open wheel. But again, maybe a support series. We could have a separate vote on the assist thing if and when a support series is made. I'm also thinking of F1 on Sundays, but that should not interfere.

There was no selection for the GT4-GT5 cars. But they can be fun and run without assists as they are a lot more controllable without them. Railer expressed his uncertainty about making a Fall Series and even though the LMP1's are fun they are in Railer's words "Too Bloody Fast" to enjoy. Perhaps we can run separate American (Wednesday Evenings) / Euro (Saturday Evening) Series. And then a combined Open Wheel / Prototype Series, I'm partial to the:
No gadgets or assists Spec Car, just good racing.
Again this is just a offering of Opinion so don't beat me up about it.

Ok Michael, your wish is my command. GT3/4 is now included.

I'll see your opinion and raise you one. My work schedule is changed, so I now get off about 12 midnight every weeknight. So, if you want to race during the week, someone else will have to run it. Also, the field is too small now to divide up. Just my opinion.

Also, I plan to run an F1 league, either as a driver or a director (club races probably, but who knows if Peter decides he wants to try and make a go). That would eat up Sundays. So pCARS, as brilliant as it is, would have to be confined to Saturdays. And I always try to pattern the league after a real life league, so mixing classes and/or cars would not be something I'd be interested in, especially with classes that have never been on the same track together. However, I will say, you picked a damn doozie to pair up. Those two are just about even and could not be more different (if you leave the assists on the LMP1). I'd love to run something like the old ALMS series personally, but I just don't think we have the people. Maybe if pCARS gets more stable, people get more reliable wheels (I'll stick with my silky smooth Thrustmaster, even though I'm sure the Logitech is awesome and is probably built much better), and F1 peters out, we will have more interest.

I do not plan to run a main series with assists, so the LMP1 would be a support series. They are not open wheel cars, but behave like them in many areas. They are spaceships, arguably as or more technically advanced than F1. But they still have fenders and run in the "sports car" division.

Railer said "too bloody fast"?!?! Seriously? Really? Effing pussy. lol. He's not English. Or does he mean too fast on a real racing SIM? I might buy into that one. Hey wait...he loves the new F1 game. :whistling:.

Good idea about the circuits. For the support series. If we do end up with Gulf, then we could probably vote there too, as that series only races at Dubai and Yaz I think.

That stinks about your work schedule. I was just looking at some alternative run times. From what Railer said, he won't be able to run on Saturdays due to his hockey schedule, and now you're not available during the week. I don't mind running Saturdays or Sundays, I would just like to run earlier. I think Earlier Saturday-Sunday races would benefit Railer as well.
  16. is yaz even in the game?? i did the champ in my career and it was just 4 races at dubai
