Dusenberry Martin Racing and Monster Games have run yet another gameplay live stream, this time showing off the upcoming NASCAR Heat game with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Matt Tiff, driver of the No. 24 JGL Racing Toyota Camry.

The latest gameplay steam shows Tiff competing in his Camry around the American Sonoma Raceway road course, scene of round 16 of the NASCAR Xfinity Series and sometimes World Touring Car Championship host. Tiff also tries is hand at the game around a night race challenge on the Charlotte Motor Speedway, pitting his skills against his 6 Toyota rivals on the quick US oval. Other circuits to receive some attention are the Homstead Miami Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway and a personal favourite of mine, Michigan.

Judging from the video it appears that the annoying over dramatic tyre smoke still remains in the game, however the version played by Tiff could yet be an early beta and may be subject to change before a full release from the studio.

NASCAR Heat Evolution is due for release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on the 13th September 2016.

Check out the RaceDepartment NASCAR Heat Evolution sub forum for news and discussions regarding the latest instalment of the popular NASCAR game franchise.

Looking forward to NASCAR Heat? Do you think a NASCAR game will have a strong audience outside of America? Let us know in the comments section below!

It is annoying, but it's the full game as it'll be released.
In the stream before this one they said that it was something they'd look at, and maybe patch in a later build, but for right now it is what it is.

Still really looking forward to this one.
Whatever niggles there may be in the graphics department, the game itself can't possibly be any worse than the offers in the last few years. :D

  4. have anybody access to a beta version to confirm if there is head tracking support? Is it true, you can't setup different fov in cockpit view? How is a caution working? Like in nascar15 where you can't drive manually behind the pace car? Can you drive manual in pit like iracing or Rfactor2?

The stream wasn't a selling point for me. But again its the only full NASCAR game on the next gen console. I'm hoping the AI is tougher than in the video, and the Tire Smoke isn't that big of deal. Hoping Career mode will be deep and challenging.
I'm starting a Xbox1 League for this game on here. If you know anyone on XB1 who likes NASCAR we'd like to have them.

Great stuff Paul. I'm still looking forward to this as well, especially after the Assetto disappointment. Fingers crossed (again).

Looks wise it's probably a 7/10. Sonoma looked ok but the night race had some good ambience to it and looked the business.

Looks like it was on a kind of 95% difficulty level. Will be interesting to see how it develops.

It's good to see they brought on board lots of drivers to test the game and give feedback.

Brad Kesolowski and Joey Logano are actually investment partners in the game.. I think that's important to remember.
  10. Will we ever see another Nascar game as good as NR2003?

  11. I really have my doubts.
When I watch @ the Video and see someone driving with a pad I wonder how this could be serious?
I mean, he makes a round cortner square .....
    Deffinitely a NOGO for me

Next live Twitch is going to be with a wheel. I think it will be a good show of the game with a wheel. I do like the fact that the game is not smooth at all with a Pad. Unlike Forza 6 where I swear the game was designed for pad players only, as my wheel feels like absolute rubbish on it.
Jeff Favignano of iRacing says the wheel feels awesome with the game.

You can create a game that's enjoyable with gamepad while still offering a great experience with wheel.
Just a question how many driving aids are in place.

The simracer will yell "Yeah, but there's only one way to drive a car and that's with a wheel!" but the marketing guy will yell "For our targeted audience there are 10 times more gamepad users than wheel users!", so there's a need of a) making the driving accessible with gamepad and b) show footage of it.

LoL "Tageted Audience" 14 yr old males with ADD.....And that's how we get crap like Forza. 3 lap races with $hit AI and some of the worst physics in the racing world.

I agree, but I do think the controller "physics" have to be much more difficult (more like...um...driving a car with a 1" stick) before wheel reality is there. Of course, I could be wrong. I was hoping to check out Assetto, but it imploded. Same physics as the PC, so it must be SIM faithful on the wheel. Have not heard from many controller people other than "boring" and "where's my content"? AS I understand it though, PC users play iRACING and rF2 with controllers.

Driving sims with the controller is as valid as playing FPS with a controller.
Impossible for me and i don't see any joy in it limiting yourself so much, but people do it and enjoy it.

All that said i highly doubt NASCAR Heat Evolution will deliver top physics anyways ;)

Repeatable trees, a little bit vanilla shaders. There's many things to upgrade in the graphics department. The competition onthe race games market is tight. But NASCAR have no competitors, this kind of e-racing have not so many fans allaround world IMHO... :) Good luck devs!
