MultiView Setup

Discussion in 'Formula Truck 2013' started by Andy Thompson, Mar 17, 2013.

  1. I'm using a triple monitor setup.

    I have multiview ticked in the initial graphics setup before you start the game for the first time.

    I can live with how the two side screens look but I wondered if I change change the rendering angle. Currently the two side screens are rendered as though the screens are at 90 degrees to the centre. Any way I could change this to 45 degrees?

    Does playing with different FOV settings change anything? Mine lines up well with different size outer screens using softTH.
  3. Now that I got SoftTH working... I've set my FOV to 40 (essentially 120 across the 3 screens... and my screens are at 30 degrees) and it looks fine (not as noticeable as in your picture). Would be nice to find a way to tweak the "fisheye" effect to get the aspect perfect.
  4. Do you get a drop in FPS by using SoftTH?

    I noticed the same.

    I dont know any other setting though that could make this better.
  6. No more then the normal FPS drop when rendering 3 screens worth of content. It's pretty solid overall.
  7. Thankyou. I'll give it a go.
  8. It would be a nice feature to be able to adjust the angle on this view:(

    The lowest is 35, i agree a bit more would be nice.
  10. You can go lower than 35 if you want Pete, but I don't think it would change the angle of the side monitors that Andy is talking about.
    Anyway, if you do want to try it, just edit the FTruck_Cams.CAM file:
    (don't forget to set the view to default in the display menu for this to work).
    Fov=(60.000000, 60.000000) Lower these to 40,40 and you will see a difference :)
    Color=(164, 218, 249)
    ClipPlanes=(0.075000, 500.000000)
    Size=(1.000000, 1.000000)
    Center=(0.500000, 0.500000)
    RadiusLimits=(0.000000, 0.000000)
    OrientationRate=(999.000000, 999.000000, 999.000000)
    PositionOffset=(0.000000, -0.0, 0.0000)
    OrientationOffset=(0.00000, 0.000000, 0.000000)
