MoTec and my GTRe .PLR file

Ok here's my problem. I have installed MoTec and changed the necessary lines in the .PLR file to the following

Data Acquisition Rate="10" // rates 1, 2 ,5, *10*, 20, 50, 100
Data Acquisition In Race="1"
Data Acquisition EXE="E:\Program Files\MoTeC\i2\1.0\MoTeC.exe"
Data Acquisition File="E:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\MY NAME HERE\race 07\UserData\vehicledata.spt"
MoTeC LogFolder="E:\MoTeC\Logged Data"
MoTeC Minimum Time="20" // minimum MoTeC recording time (sec)
MoTeC Multiple Logs="1" // generate unique filename for each new log

I then save the file, Run GTRe, do a few laps in the practice session, go back into the pits, Alt Tab out Start MoTec and try to open the log file, trouble is whenever I look there are never any logs.

I re open the .PLR file and all the lines that I have changed above have gone back to their original state

Data Acquisition Rate="10" // rates 1, 2 ,5, *10*, 20, 50, 100
Data Acquisition In Race="0"
Data Acquisition EXE=""
Data Acquisition File="userdata\vehicledata.spt"
MoTeC LogFolder="MoTeC\Logged Data"
MoTeC Minimum Time="20" // minimum MoTeC recording time (sec)
MoTeC Multiple Logs="1" // generate unique filename for each new log

Am I doing something wrong here?

Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Thanks in advance :p

You need the XD mod. Just Google "GTR2 XD Mod" and install it and you should have all the info you need!

But for info on bottoming out you will either need to feel when it happens or you'll need the motec for sure.

CAUTION! This Guide is only optimized for GTR2/Power&Glory. The program can also be used for other Simulations, if you use it for more than PnG, then it better to take more useful folders.

1. Download

MoTeC i2 Pro (http://www.motec.com.au/software/latestreleases/)

2. Install

mi2_pro_1.03.0106.exe
(i choose: D:\GTR2\MoTeC\ this is important for the settings later)

3. Open

*Drivername*.plr

file. You find it in your:

GTR2\UserData\*Drivername*

folder.

(my: D:\GTR2\UserData\Henry\Henry.plr)

You can open it with the Notepad/Editor, make yure, that the game doesn't run.

4. Search after

Data Acquisition

You will see the following lines:

Data Acquisition Version="0" // Version of vehicle data to write out
Data Acquisition Rate="10" // rates 1, 2 ,5, *10*, 20, 50, 100
Data Acquisition In Race="0"
Data Acquisition EXE="D:\GTR2\MoTeC\MoTeC.exe"
Data Acquisition File="userdata\vehicledata.spt"
MoTeC LogFolder="D:\GTR2\MoTeC\Logged Data"
MoTeC Minimum Time="20" // minimum MoTeC recording time (sec)
MoTeC Multiple Logs="1" // generate unique filename for each new log

Edit the light green lines. You can also change the other lines, but be careful.
CAUTION! If you choosed another folder in part 2, then you have to take this one for the Data Acquisition EXE path. The MoTec LogFolder is free selectable, but make sure that it exist, else you don't get any data.

5.Start
Now you are ready. After some practice laps you can click on

TELEMETRY
and the MoTeC will be opened.

6.First Start
If you use MoTeC at first time, it will open a Help. Create a new project and follow the help. Go to

File\Open Log File
and select your

Just received it from Amazon.de this morning, been playing it most of the evening, its everything I expected. The big GT's are quite a handfull, really requires a deft right foot for the Ferrari 550 anyways. Just finished a UKGTR praccie NGT race, good fun, didn't know the track at all nor the car, not surprisingly finished last. Worth it tho just to hear the Morgan Aero 8 at full throttle, odd looking but lovely sounding.

hello guys,
i need some help!

i correctly configurated the plr file but i see that the "vehicledata.spt" file is missing from my "userdata" directory in race07, and i don't see any saved logfile of my laps.
do i have to create the spt file from scratch?
