Laurens Vanthoorn, how to crash and win in style!! Only a Belgian
The race was red flagged with only 15 minutes on the clock, and stewards decided to use previous lap as end results standings....meaning Vanthoorn wins a race landing on his roof, even though he was overtaken a second before the crash.
Then they decided to not use the rule that makes it possible to give a penalty to the driver causing the red flag. Which I honestly think should've been used here, as at the point of the crash, he was not the leader.
I did not know of that rule tbh. That's how subjective "stewardism" is, not having a uniform organ for all GT classes to rule on incidents. Or do they?
Laurens Vanthoor will come back with a Porsche next year and hopefully will win again to delete this mess from all our minds.
