    Porsche Volume 3 DLC - AC 2.jpg
Can you think of a better way to spend the Christmas holiday period than playing around with a bunch of new Porsche cars in Assetto Corsa? I can't that's for sure... To help spread some festive cheer and shorten the wait, Marco Massarutto of Kunos Simulazioni has very kindly leaked another small batch of Porsche Volume III DLC images... NICE!

Following the sad news that the 2017 edition of the 911 GT3 RSR had to be pushed back to a January release (replaced by the rather cool 911 Turbo S), Kunos have pushed out a nice looking batch of new preview images from the upcoming DLC to help remind us all of the goodness that is yet to come, and oh boy do they look good!

The third and final Porsche DLC package is due to hit the digital shelves on Tuesday 20th December, and will feature seven new cars to the simulation, plus the free Macan for those who don't wish to engage in the DLC promotion. Both Volumes One and Two have received much praise from the gaming public, and with arguably the best line up of cars still waiting to launch in Volume Three, fans are well set to enjoy the Christmas break.

Can't wait for that GT3 Cup!

This kinda sounds that everyone will get the car in January, when it's only for PP3 owners.

Hoping that it will be the Macan Turbo Performance. Despite the moaning from the lot, this would be a quite fun car to race. Perfect opponent for the Levante S

    "Looking forward to Volume III?"

Only if they fix the handling on most cars. So far these are not the engaging and rewarding cars I hear the journalists talking about.

Talking about the street cars, Porsches are not meant to be easy to drive.
The perfect 50:50 distribution might be perfect for fast corners, but it takes away some of your confidence..owning a quite powerful RWD Merc i can tell you i feel a lot more confidence to throw it in the corner, then my buddies Boxster.

Interesting..I own a 2016 C63 and I have a lot less confidence while blasting on the track or in the canyons than I do with 911s that I've driven. If you let a Porsche settle early, it's planted and requires huge amounts of power to counter any understeer or oven oversteer.

Exactly, in the game they feel so tame it's not fun at all. You you can do so much mid-corner without unsettling the car it doesn't feel like a car at all.

So, is the Porsche 911 GT3 R the GT3 Spec and the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR is the Endurance Spec? Could somebody clarify that for me please?

Correct. The GTE (Le Mans reg) car is the one delayed. Pretty epic pack this.

WTF??? Why no 356 Porsche? Those were the finest example of them all! Not only that, they don't even mention the forgotten beast 959. Or the best known 928, 944, 914, so on. They barely did anything that isn't somehow a 911 based model. What a wasted opportunity to delve deeper on the rich Porsche history.

Yes, but unfortunately its the 2015 spec for the GT3 R and its 2017 in what, less than 2 weeks.

The full line-up of the three packs was unveiled in early-September, you're a bit late to being all worked up by it.

Technically it's the 2016 spec, plus that's the latest they have.

The 2015 GT3-R is the current model until the end of 2017 season, at least..
