Lap time:
1:12.484 (enough for Pole on highest difficulty)
Even faster with option and less fuel and "rich" mix.

Notes: This setup gives you a limited topspeed, but allows you to be extremely aggressive on the throttle, compensating for the short 7th gear. The car has a stiff front end and a looser rear. It answers instantly on driver commands without oversteering. No more flipperballing betwene the walls.

This setup was great for me in qualifying but it absolutely ripped through the tyres. I did a 50% race legend no assists and I had to pit once more than everyone else. I could do 12 laps on options where everyone else was managing 18.

I managed a 1:16:0XX for pole position in a Ferrari first season with them.

This is my Lap with Auto Gears :) it was P1 before i uploaded the video with Setup

Thank you very much got 14th in the leaderboard with this after many try with manual gears i think it's better .Thank you i could possibly do 2-or 3 tenths faster lap but i'm tired of the track now.Do you suggest this setup for 50%race?Or it kills the tires?

puh hard to say... i'm not sure if i used it in my 50 % league race... this time can still be improved... especially with manual gears :) i might try ride high 2-2 or 3-3 and springs 11-11 but i'm not sure if that works around monaco

Brilliant setup Tom Endres. I'm in my 3rd season on career, now with Ferrari, was able to get great quali times at monaco in the force india and lotus in previous seasons but have continually crashed out and given up until now. Much more stable and race appropriate, tyre wear isn't even that bad...I'm sure the extra downforce in the ferrari isn't doing me any harm but I'm really able to put in some laps now and don't lose the rear end as with other setups.
Bravo Sir!

Good setup, probably the best of these here, at least for me.
My time in RaceNet 1,11,515 McLaren, unfortunately, nothing for nothing more I can not afford.
Thanks

So far with all aids off and driving in cockpit view this is the only setup i can drive in my career williams so thank you. Its not the fastest but all the others are destroying my rear tyres and are way too prone to sudden spin offs without TC.

Is there a secret on how to drive Monaco on this game?... I qualified 20th in Williams season 1 with this setup 1.17. something was the best I could do while Maldonado qualified 5th...

Hey Tom - once again you've hit it out of the park for me.Great setup - except that I moved the brakes up to 45-55. With the 43 I was constantly missing my brake-in point.
Thanks again!!

I made a time of 1.13:3 with many errors. 1-11 areodinamica with the car is very stable. with 3-3 aerodynamic the car is stable and faster and 1-1 in the car is very fast but very unstable.

this is my last setup, do not rule out changes in the other configurations.

Does anyone have a race setup that's easy on the rear tyres?

I've tried setting the suspension, cambers, toes and roll bars to save the rear tyres quite a bit, but I'm still burning them out quite quickly. And it can't be my driving style because I'm as smooth with throttle application as can be.

I've also adjusted my gear selection for corners, like short-shifting up to 6th through the first part of the swimming pool section to kill the rear torque.

With the Lotus, I can get about 20-25 laps out of a set of Super-Softs, and about 35-40 laps out of the softs. While my front tyres are hardly worn by that time.

Is there anything else I can do?
Or is it just a characteristic of Monaco being a very rear limited circuit?

Just a few tweaks to Moutas great setup for those using lotus in there career. Braking is the big difference I find between the likes of the mclaren, especially in time trial on options, and the lotus in career on primes. I kept locking into the 1st corner so I lowered the front camber and moved the brakes rearward a few clicks. Makes the front much less prone to lockups and helps keep front tyres intact for race. You can use Low brake pressure to be extra safe but it does cost a bit of outright lap time in quali, in the race its not a bad trade off as 1 lockup can ruin a lot of work. :)

Update: Just ran a quick race on legend and got pole by half a second, 1.14.9 :) Im pretty darn happy with that considering i hate driving monaco lol.

Found a few tenths on my last time. I am pretty sure I can find 3-5 tenths by getting everything spot on, but its so difficult. It is a lot of fun though around Monte Carlo, and my lap time is up there :)

Enjoy!
Great setup!
