MOD - Other Problems

Save your setups as STC_Something and you should be able to find it easily, or delete the original version if you don´t need it. But a would say deleting it is not necesary.

If you still have the original Algarve version you will notice the STC track is quite diferent right now. :)

Save your setups as STC_Something and you should be able to find it easily, or delete the original version if you don´t need it. But a would say deleting it is not necesary.

The problem is not finding the setups, it is that they are saved into a folder that is not accessable from within the game. For example, if I load my setup "v1", make some changes to it and save it as "v2", this new setup "v2" will not be placed in the "STC_Portimao" folder but in the "Portimao" folder. But from within the game it is not possible to access the "Portimao" folder, so I will not be able to load this "v2" setup and make further changes to it. What I have to do, then, is Alt-TAB out of the game, move the "v2" setup from the "Portimao" folder to the "STC_Portimao" folder, then go back into the game and load the setup. Then I save it as "v3", and again it is placed in the wrong folder and I have to do this Alt-TAB routine all over again...

I'm not sure deleting the original Algarve/Portimao track actually fixes this problem, but I will try it. I have already tried to delete the "Portimao" setup-folder, but it didn't work - it is created again as soon as I start the STC Portimao track.

The reason for this bug is that the track-name is wrong in the .gdb file. You have called the track folder "STC_Portimao", so the game looks for setups in the "STC_Portimao" setup-folder, but in the .gdb you have called the track just "Portimao", so when you save a setup it is placed in the "Portimao" setup-folder...

I heard some rumors that you wanted to patch the mod to fix this bug but then decided not to do it, why?

@ Roland: We will consider patch it again.

@ Nicola: A little contact from the car following you, a legal move very used in races with bodyworked cars, from Karting to GTs. Can someone look for a love tab video example?

Please do not look on PORN!! this will be a very diferent love tab.

I have the same problem as Roland and yes there is a work around but still it would be nice not to have to go to desktop after every time you've saved a set and move it to a different folder. So please try to patch this bug.

a quick fix is to move/delete your original version of the track & the corresponding setup folder then you will only have one Portimao (or whatever track) for the game to work from and not the 2 conflicting ones that we have right now, or 5 mins with a simple patch will fix them all but will give mismatches to those without the patch.

No problem for me, but no original tracks installed too. Is it usefull to have the original one, when you have the STC version? I think no... But after reflection, it can be a problem if you want to do one other league or race event that use the original version.

It's not only a problem for the client but having both the STC version and the "original" version on a server makes it a bit tricky loading the correct one since they as of now appear with the same name in the list of possible events.

any news on this setup problem as RDTCC used the standart portimao and till now i did not manage to to load a setup from eith of the folders
i could fix it with rar the orginal portimao folder but it gets created new after saving a setup so after restarting the game without rar it again
you have again 2 motordrom de algave listed in the setup screen and the game shows no setups in both :( and to be honste its way to much hassel
to all the time rar one of the folders befor starting the game so plz fix it

don't have the problem with hockenheim, did a couple of laps yesterday to test the new extra curbs in the run off zones:

and some other lil' stuff:

but the sets I posted were dutifully stored in STC Hockenheim, even though I have the original GPHockenheim on my harddrive as well.

Sorry I'm late, but I just wanted to drop a quick note saying thank you for this Trackpack-patch, everything is working correctly with the setups now. Thanks!
