Can I just ask Why an 80min format is preferred over a 60 min format? 60 mins is a long race and just wondering why it seems 80 min is better?
  10. 60 minutes means if you pit, which I always have to, your race is over, no chance to catch the leaders.
80 minutes means everyone has to pit, sometimes at halfway sometimes after 50 minutes so tyres are fresher when others are fading and a 2 stopper works on some tracks, it's more strategy.

Plus when I first joined here in 2008 the 80 Minute Mini Friday was my first race and it was a massive tradition, filled up within hours of posting and always fun clean and close racing. It is only in the last 12 months that attendance has been a problem. Lets face it, Friday night, weekend ahead, few cans and rum, nothing worth watchin on tv, you could make it 3 hours for me, even though I can't see straight after 50 minutes anyway.

When you get a full grid willing to get to the end, even if they have to pit 4 times with damage, there is no better race to be in.

Yeh what Bob said, Mini Friday feels more like going for a drive with your mates than the more competitive atmosphere in other races. I find 80 minutes tends to fly by.

    Ok count me in :)
My only problem is I have a prolapsed disc in my back and I was getting some pains down my right leg (sciatica) an extra 20 mins is going to be quite painful lol

  14. Which layout of Mondello are we using?
  15. Ah, Marco didn't specify again.

First one who replies with a layout -> that's the layout we'll use :)
  16. Just tried them all - Intermediate seemed the most fun to me.
  17. Intermediate it is
