Mercedes to bring major updates to Catalunya

Discussion in 'Formula 1' started by Philip Oakley, Apr 14, 2010.

  1. Rumours are abound in the Formula paddock that Mercedes are planning to bring major updates to the Mercedes MGP W01 at Catalunya, Spain - round 5 of the Formula One World Championship.

These may include extreme changes to the car, including things like extending the wheelbase, and modifying the rear suspension and the gearbox casing; however team boss Ross Brawn said that "The chassis is homologated, we cannot change it."

In other news, heavy rain is expected at Shanghai on raceday (18[SUP]th[/SUP] April 2010), according to BBC Weather, but qualifying is expected to be bright, dry and sunny.

Lets hope those changes will speed up Schumi a little bit. I really want him to be competitive again but so far it's not really what I expected of his return.

Everyone will have upgrades at barca though, might reduce the margin of improvement for him a little.
