F1 2010 Melbourne - Australia (Dry)

F1 2010 The Game (Codemasters)
Hmm... I'm getting 1:32 low with setup for my Lotus at my new career in Hard diff (Custom - My KB driving still needs full traction ctrl, auto gear and pit control - other assists off). Webber has P1 in Practice with a lap around 1:30 high. Going to work on my setup and when I beat that I might post it. (It worked well with Virgin on my first career at easy. Lotus needs some tweaking)

Hi all, hope I don't break any rules, here is my setup for your perusal:

McLaren (on Time Trial)
Time
1:20.6xx. (Theoretical 1:20.3xx in my hands, and there are many better hands than mine)

I used a pad, current 3rd place used a wheel (also a 1:20.6xx)
Postion
was 1st, currently 2nd, will be beaten by more.

Hope this helps. It might need some tweaking.

I've never used a wheel, but would presume it to be smoother and not to scrub as much speed making it a little easier to get the times. But, with patience and a few more laps the pad is in my opinion just as fast.

Lots of Love,

LiveNkickin

I've not had this game long as I only got it the other week and I've not really had a chance to play it. I have a PC and use an X-Box controller as I don't have a steering wheel.... yet!
So I assume that a faster time would be achievable with one of these instead.

So today I tried this setup with Lotus, I "joined" them, preferring to "work my way up the ranks" as it were!

Blimey.. this was a fast one! Other setups I tried were at least 4-6 seconds back on this one!
I'm doing the full GP season.. I'm not running this on a time trial at all.

I posted a 1:33.8xx with, as I said, Lotus
Also... I had normal brakes set as well as standard set on the engine.. no other options open to me at present! (ie fast mapsetting etc)

So no sitting near the back of the grid for me with this either, as I was in the top 8 with this setup!

Schumachers record still stands at this circuit and is 1:24.125!

Yes I do know it's not as fast as the time on the setup above (1:20.6xx) so do tell. What were you using... rocket fuel!? lol

I got my time at the end of the 1st practice session, as I was tinkering with other setups on here.. and found this was the best one for Lotus.. for me at least. I did find that there was some oversteer in some corners though, mainly due to the wing setup. I'm not complaining but it does need to be watched... or you're off the track in a flash.
Rain was on the way in the first session too, just when I loaded this and only got a few laps done with it as the rain started to come, slowing me somewhat and then the session ended. So I'm going back in on the 2nd session and will try it again to see if I can get faster.

I'm going to post some links to circuits to help people too.. assuming this hasn't been done already as this may help people with gear settings etc. That's if it's allowed on here, as it is to do with setups.. or will I have to post them elsewhere on this forum?

Set up needs tweaking for those that are just getting into career mode. I'm driving a Lotus and I'm getting understeer through turns 3, 4, 12, 13 and 14. It makes it difficult to get the car going where I need it to.

Haven't tried it in time trial or just a regular gp though. I could be wrong.

u posted a picture. but as i see all your aids was on.
how u can make tuning with all of this aids? u cant sense your car on 100%. Just push right pedal and watch on course lane.
what a reason?

11 and 12 place - no aids. respect

I had one driver aid on - autogears. That aids symbol appears when you have at least 1 driver aid on. Even if it's just automatic pitentry, that symbol appears.

Besides, it's slower WITH aids. Hense why most of the guys at the top of the leaderboard use no aids at all.

I have done 1.31 in soft tyres with the Lotus in Carrer mode and without alot of practice with the setup of livenkickin and also with the mod "less grip" to have cars more hardly to drive and feal more real. I play on Expert, no aids, Ai legend, Xbox controler. I think i can do 1.29 at 1.28 doing a perfect lap, really nice setup :)
