On the build up to the first Porsche DLC package for Assetto Corsa, Kunos Simulazioni have released their largest ever batch of images from the Volume One DLC package, showing off a variety of the seven new models across a selection of tracks in Assetto Corsa.

With a release of 25th October for PC just around the corner, Kunos have upped their promotional campaign and revealed a host of new images from the DLC package, showing the new content on a variety of circuits and highlighting the usual exceptionally high attention to detail Kunos have lavished on the cars.

As in normal process with PC and console releases, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will have to wait slightly longer to get access to the first Porsche pack, as Kunos have to navigate the respective Microsoft and Sony approvals process prior to release. No confirmed date has been revealed by the studio at this early stage.

Porsche Volume One DLC will contain the following cars:
  • 911 Carrera S,
  • 935 Moby Dick
  • 918 Spyder
  • Cayman GT4 Clubsport
  • 718 Cayman S
  • 917/30
  • 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 1974

The Porsche Panamera G2 and a 1960's version of the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit will be added t to Assetto Corsa as free content in conjunction with the upcoming update to the game, expected to be release at a similar time as the Porsche Volume One DLC.

I'll be quite happy with the rear-engined DLC. I just don't care for those two RUFs because they have more power than their brakes/tires can handle which makes driving them rather tricky (for someone with as little talent as me).
Not a race or even particularly good driver but I'd say hard, pumping braking, trail-braking on turn-in, early throttle to balance out understeer and some setup changes (for example diff & brake bias for the Yellowbird, aero for the Rt 12 R) all help a bit. I definitely don't think they're easy to get into but they can be very rewarding when you 'get' it and the added power gives them some incredible straight line speed. Some race tyres would definitely help but they already have enough grip to accelerate very fast if you balance the throttle and they don't have too much grip to prevent you from playing with the throttle a bit (TCS on the Rt 12 R is way too limiting). They might not be all that different from the even more powerful 935/78 on vintage tyres, not sure though. We'll see. :p

Well, I'm just more of an Alfa GTA guy than a 700hp street car guy. I don't necessarily have anything against those two RUFs, they're just not my preferred cup of tea.

HAHAHAHAH :DxDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I wish you were better driver and could handle classics. You would be happy.

I could bet when we would do a race I win easily against you, even when I'm not good with the cars and drove no single lap. :D

@JayS I wouldn't mind that :)

It would be surprising to find that someone who is done with those cars in a few laps can actually be good with them. Just PM me whatever server you want to race with whatever classic car, and if I'm free then - it would be a pleasure :)
