hi bit new here and cant seem to find locations folder to add tracks etc through steam ?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\YOURGAMETAG\race 07\Gamedata
If it doesn't already exist, create it at the location mentioned above.
You have to create those folders yourself.in your
"Steam/steamapps/your profile name/race 07.
Create "Gamedata/Locations" and "UIData"
go to http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/threads/how-to-add-downloaded-content-to-race-series.25283/ Have fun
ok thanks for your help
ok tried the above i double checked it but it still wont show in game ? but yet its is in the right place in my folders
Case sensitive folder names? Not sure if that would make a difference?
Locations (not locations)
You might want to check out Sim Race Manager too. Very good at organising mods etc.
Make sure you only put folder in Locations folder one level deep, ie
If he did it without mistake ... it smells again like Race07 in 'Common' ???
hoping I'm not right.
you are spot on got it sorted now it was in common
Speaking about folders, i didn't want to start a new thread but is it ok to move all of the Steam/Race07 out of C/(x86) into my Games folder which contains my GTL rFactor and GTR2?
Hiroshi, I did that by deleting the content in the race 07 folder and have the new install put in Games. Then I pulled all the content from the old folder and added it. I don't know if the registry can handle a move like you want to do it.
I use http://www.gamesave-manager.com/
Thanks guys, I'll see about making the change sometime.
