    Requirements

To participate in season 1 of G2TCC, you are required to own the McLaren Racing Pack. If you don't have this pre-order pack. you can buy it after release of the game.

    Racing Rules

Clean Racing You agree to racing cleanly during every race you participate in, collisions should be avoided whenever possible. Deliberately crashing into another driver is not tolerated and will result in a penalty being issued from the stewards.

Overtaking When you overtake another driver, give them enough room. The same applies when pulling in ahead of them. Never cause another driver to take avoiding action.

Defending When being overtaken and you are defending, olease do not weave around the track. Choose a line on the track and stick to it, do not force a chasing car off the track. If the attacking car is alongside you going into a corner, you must adjust your line to avoid contact with the other driver.

Extending the Track / Corner Cutting We would like to remind everyone that the method of clean and fair racing is simple. Stay inside the two white lines of the track. At no point should any driver have more than 2 wheels outside the track lines at any time.

    Lobby / Forum Behaviour

No shouting in the race or the race lobby. Persistent offenders will be removed from the league.

No bullying in the race lobby / on the forum / anywhere

Respect the league organisers. We do this for fun and we assure you to do the best we can.

    Important

If you cannot race, please let us know in advance of a race.

No Show's if you no-show more than 4 times in a season, you will be removed from the league. We all hate being sat around waiting for members who just never turn up

Be On Time make sure you are on time to each race, again we don't want to be sat around waiting for members to get online. If your going to be late, inform your league coordinator

Keep Active on the Forum we will occasionally check the see if our league members are active on the RaceDepartment site, if you haven't bothered to login for a couple of months, there is a risk you could be removed. Keep the community talking and having fun!

In preparation for the racing club, please vote in this poll :) This will help us get a better understanding of your wishes and enables us to set up events on the evening of the days you would like. Select multiple days if you wish!

Also, anyone who would like to join us in the racing club but who hasn't signed up to the forum yet, please let yourself be heard! This also applies to people who want to join but who are not posting in the GRID 2 forums at the moment.

Hosting club events using GRID 2’s multiplayer system requires a different approach to other games. In this thread you will find all information regarding hosting and joining an event.

    General

RaceDepartment offers weekly club races for GRID 2 which you can join, as long as you are a licensed member. Only staff are able to create event threads in the racing club, please do not create your own event. Before signing up, make sure you have read and understood the RD Racing Club rules.

    Joining the event

    1. Add the host to your Steam friends list. See the event thread for details.
    2. From the main menu, log in to GRID Online
    3. Wait for the host to invite you to the party, or send him/her a message when you’re ready.

Do not press ready before the host does. For the best and most fun experience, join the GRID 2 channel on TeamSpeak. Click here for the TeamSpeak server and password.

    Host

The moderator who sets up the event thread is also the host for the night. The host creates a party, invites members, sets up the races and makes sure there are as little problems as possible. If the moderator is not able to attend an event, he/she assigns a willing participant of the race as the official host. To set up an event, the host follows these steps:

    1. From the main menu, log in to GRID Online
    2. Choose Event -> Online to set up a party
    3. The host invites all participants to the party
    4. In the party menu, select Online Custom Event -> Create Game. When asked, make sure to allow DLC.
    5. The host sets up the game options using these exact settings:

    Race Type: Endurance
Vehicle Tier: [As listed in event thread]
Rounds: [As listed in event thread]
    AI Drivers: None

    Advanced options
    Session visibility: Closed
    End Race Timer: 1 minute
    Grid Order: Event Standings Reversed
    Collisions: On
    Damange: Full
    Flashbacks: Off
    Force Manual Gears: No
    Impact Ratings: Disabled

    Track selection
Location: [As listed in event thread]
Track: [As listed in event thread]
Time: [As listed in event thread]

    6. The host presses Ready to start the event when it’s time.

    - The host accepts friend invites on Steam by participants of the race, to invite them to the event.
    - The host is online on Steam and creates a party at least 15 minutes before the event begins.
    - The host is present in TeamSpeak in the GRID 2 channel during the event.

    Racing Incidents

Staff are not able to review race incidents, since GRID 2 does not feature online replays. Therefore, we fully expect you to drive cleanly, respect your fellow racers and keep within the track limits at all times. Excessive abnormal behaviour on track will result in a penalty issued by the racing staff.

    Other

GRID 2's multiplayer system requires you to gain money by competing in normal online races. With the money you earn, you must buy and upgrade the cars you want. Make sure you do a number of races to acquire a suitable car for a club event.

    Have fun racing! :)
