Is the gearing really that bad IRL ? :D
The gear ratios are those Sellholm offers for the gearbox, you can look them up on their website. 1st is fixed, 2nd has two options, then you have ten options for 3rd to 5th to choose from, which I did based on onboard videos. Final drive and drop gear are combined in a single number, again found via onboard analysis. I found no info on KRB changing ratios between races, and don't belief a small team like them just bought all ten sets to play around with.

Ok. 2nd and 4th both need to be a bit longer. Especially 2nd. When you shift into 3rd you're out of the power band, and many corners are in between these two gears and you're forced to go through them with 1/4 of the power lol.
 
The final result of the model is really good. Everything seems very good so far. Since the last beta I had, you have improved this car so much, 3d, 2d, shaders, animations, very well. I see that something really nice can be done using @Stereo blender driver rig !

Physics changes are huge, and it is mostly due to aero ? It is super hard to get a turn-in, oversteer is not existing, tons of understeer. Before it was too fast IMO, now it is too slow lol. Maybe it is correct but I don't find it believable atm, understeer is so big, rear wheels gets loose perhaps only when clipping the grass (it is certain death then :D)

Well but Kunos quattro has very planted rear end too, so it might be so. And crazy understeer is due to lack of front downforce/too much rear downforce ? Differential ? Steering geometry ?

Sound is very nice, but some transitions feels unfinished.

I would definitely recommend minimum rear wing, then it becomes hugely more manageable in terms of understeer, though still understeer biased. I don't see much benefit to the extra rear downforce as it becomes to unbalanced you don't really gain anything.

With 1/3 rear wings on, its a very fun and interesting thing to drive, very unique! :D
 
Thanks @garyjpaterson I should have started with this. Much better, also with much more front camber, more loose diff setting - pretty awesome. I would still complaint about understeer. There are more camber and ever more loose diff setting to take though. Downshift protection gets me everytime, it is set to very low revs.

I think I heard bad sound transitions before when I drove it, but now it seemed fine. Just interior sound is much louder than Kunos cars, I think.

Also less fuel helps, and maybe a stiffere front ARB. And seems like you really have to use all that camber lol

Very low diff setting helps, but then there are some other troubles. But you really have to go through the setup to enjoy this car IMO

One that focuses on the technical side of the car, the build, and not just emotions and spirit like so many other articles do :O_o: I don't want to know about the spiritual connection you had with the S15 since you first saw it while sipping your Starbugs Vanilla Moccachino, I want to know how the builder managed to screw this engine onto that gearbox :D

Skin looks rather easy to make in form, but getting all those stickers right is not easy. Also, the KRB's wheelbase is heaps different, and needs shuffling around of things

Well, I see I'm not the only one who's felt that way about Speedhunters... It used to be a regular website I'd visit.
 
Yes, most articles are just are photo porn, but sometimes they talk a little more about the rebuilds. The last one I've enjoyed reading was a 13' article about the Zackspeed Capri (link). If you're interested in adapting this livery, I guess other than the mandatory stripes, "1" font, and PP related logos on golden rims, It'll still be fine. Even if its a challenge, there's no need to fully replicate a livery when a car doesn't match.

It's pretty much down to the writer, many of the non regular articles read the best to me. While the regulars like Paddy McGrath construct texts like this...:
It’s the little things that I found the most fascinating, like the rear door window vents, which are something I’d not seen before. The addition of these small details are what separate proper builds from cookie-cutter ones. It takes knowledge and perseverance to seek out these parts that one might not even realise exists. They require a genuine passion.
It's some door vents, not a lost album of The Beatles ffs :D
