A bad quali means I can go forwards in the race.

    Indeed RIP John
I admire the way father and son shared the passion for the sport.
To have that friendship with your dad is lovely.

  7. Such a shock. He was as much part of the GP weekend as anyone there. Will miss him.
    RIP John Button.
  8. Its a tragic loss..............

  9. Rest in Peace John. It was great seeing him in the paddock, always backing up his son.
  10. :( RIP

Heard this just a short time ago... it was a total shock.

As others have said, he was a character to have around the GP`s and obviously extremely proud of Jenson.

Condolences to Jenson and his family.

    RIP JB
  13. It was amazing to see his reaction when Jenson won the title in 2009. Always fervently supportive and proud of his son...

My thoughts are with the Buttons, it's never easy dealing with the loss of a family member.

Why this ... just came home, Ronaldo won the Golden Ball, i am Madridista, came home from party, in good mood, and this happens!!! :/ He is way more involved in F1 than any other father i see today in F1 so i can say he will be missed A LOT!!!

    RIP John! :(

    R.I.P. John Button.

Condolences to Jenson and his family and immediate friends.
  17. This is so sad, Jenson is going to be gutted and probably lost without his Dad, it would be awesome (though unlikely) to see him win the Title or even just the British GP as a dedication to John this year.

  18. Sad news......very sad. Will miss John,

    Really sad news.
Gutted for Jenson this close to the new season.

I'd like to see McLaren pay tribute to him with pink shirts or something at the first race.
