As an Ajax supporter for pretty much my whole life this news came in very hard and totaly unexpected.

Some time ago Johan said that he was 2-0 ahead during halftime with his fight against Lung Cancer. Then to hear this news today it becomes pretty clear that it was an unfair fight.:(

Outrageously talented, a real visionary and was a key figure in Dutch football's rise to prominence. His influence is still felt in the way Barcelona play to this very day.

My wife was entranced by him when we watched the 1974 world cup, that's saying something. R.I.P.
