F1 2010 Istanbul - Turkey (Dry)

F1 2010 The Game (Codemasters)
Thanks Viktor, your setup is always fantastic ... I'm doing a league online and use them when I have always done well, except that we use on-line all the rules with real F1 tires and fuel consumption, which make the stress races in this manner, Viktor Thanks again!!

Viktor's setup, 6th step down, 7th two steps. Career year 4 of 7, Virgin, legend, all assists off except traction, full sim. Qualification 1:27:706, 3rd. Pole Webber 1:27:107. Race first, 1:29:519 personal.

A very unusual track with lots of high speed sweeping turns. A real struggle to get good front-end grip.
It's a must to be able to feather the brakes deep into the turns to keep the car from drifting to the outside
almost as if slower is faster especially in the first sector.
Several hours and many laps tweaking the setup one variable at a time, for some reason my logic kept on telling me
to move an adjustment one way but the car liked it the other way. As you can see, the Ballast Distribution ended up going all the way aft
and the front wing to maximum. I can see some gains by utilizing the adjustable wing in Sector 1 and then lowering it for the long straights but I'm not that multi-talented.
This might be one of those you either love it or hate it type of setups since everyone is different so let me know what you think!

Optimized for Williams in Legend mode first season. PS3 console. No assists. Using G25 Logitech wheel.
Qualified Pole with a 1:26.9 and a win for the race thereafter.
Was able to run an easy 1:22.9 In Time Trial with the McLaren. (This will drop more when I have the time.)

NONE of these setups worked for me, so naturally, I made my own. I got a 1:25.800 using a McLaren Mercedes on option tires.
I see that other times have bettered my own by I got pole position by 3.346 seconds. Car is very easy to drive. I hit all 4 apexes in Turn 8 and I am flat out all the way through.

With some tweaking, I know this setup has the potential to set extraordinary lap times.

I just set a faster time with the same setup. A 1:25.649 has put me on Pole yet again.

Also, this is the first setup I have made from scratch. If anyone has any tips on how to make it better or on how to get a better lap time, please let me know!

Thanks very much! Was really struggling with this one, was 22/23 for most of practice, changed to this set up and Qualified 4th (had a 5 place grid drop though >.<), finished the race 11th after some dodgy turns!

Used Sam Peacock's (Page 2) set-up. Came 5th in qualifying, won the race by 35 seconds over Alonso and 66 seconds over Button in third. All this in my second driver Lotus. Great set-up!

Hijacking my setup I see..... I know its not posted here yet but you did ask me for it.

change the rear spring stiffness to 3 and you will see huge improvement I think :) I always used 6 and since awhile I changed that to 1-3 and I made new pb's in TT after that. Istanbul I use 3 almost all other tracks I use 1

Which would result in more understeer, as it is its right on the limit of making it round the 4 left handers flat out so couldnt handle less rear stiffness without starting to use front wing amd that leads to another thing of unbalancing the car under braking which means I need to shift the balance to the rear which in turn makes it pretty much your setup...
