Emery, can you point out one of ISI releases which don`t have huge number of bugs? It is one thing to release half done content but totally different story to show some craftsmanship and release content when it is proper done.
Please don`t use that fanboy excuse that ISI is a small company so many years of development there must be some other reason.

Hmm, I rarely run into bugs in rF2. It's been very reliable for me.

It runs very reliably for me too. The few bugs I have encountered have not been game breaking, and usually, like Gijs said, the bugs are caused by 3rd party stuff, like plugins, or stuff I have accidentally messed up myself, JSON tweaks etc.

As for the schedule, nothing seems to have changed in the slightest, looking at the list of released builds and content. Builds keep coming out at a regular pace, same with content, all top notch stuff. Older content gets more and more refined, we see brand new content too, builds that bring more and more features, big and small improvements.

So msportdan, what exactly prompted you to start this thread, if I may ask?

It's a seasonal thing with him :p. Next up will be another game, and another flaw. And this has always been ISI's pace, much more now with the loss of 2 key staff over the past 2 years, who were not replaced.

I'd not say there are big bugs, just developmental hiccups. Some things only get caught with more intensive testing from larger fields, like the VEC boys. The tires still being faulty per-se is disappointing though.

Hmm, top notch stuff. I think it depends what background you have which level you like to simulate your racing. Some of us has real life experience and some of rF1 etc. We have been asking for a realistic clutch/tranny/engine for 5 years now, and nothing has been done to fix this issue. We were told a new transmission model was coming soon after the release of the Howstons, and that was 3 years ago. I get frustrated when I see people downshifting to 10-15,000rpm and suffering no engine or transmission damage. I have never driven a manual transmission that allows you to flat shift without the clutch like rF2 does.
Not saying that I'm not happy with what we've gotten so far, I am very much so.

Say what you want about AC but if you follow the Kunos guys you always get the impression that AC is their number one priority whereas RF2 seems way down the list of ISI priorities. It may be too late now but ISI should really have followed the paid DLC route as it is the only way to get the money you need to develop a sim over many years. Reiza finally seem to have got that idea with their crowdfunding. Maybe ISI should do something similar to make RF2 the sim it could be if the resources were there to work on it.

It's far from perfect, but definitely my favorite.

If I had to nitpick about everything that is bad about all the other popular sims, I'd be here all week.

ISI's pace is something you have to get used to though. It is what it is, and no amount of crying will change that.

just wondered if id missed something ? I've been out of touch with ISI recently.. been on the AMS bandwagon lol

Whether I like or not rFactor2 is not relevant when are talking about unstable builds and bugs.
Give thanks and honor to ISI when they deserve that but stop pretending that all is fine when it is not. Pretending only hurts development of rFactor 2.

Thank you ;)

Reasons for them to not use the latest build are irrelevant for normal use.

May i ask you again. What bugs do you have?

My reply was to @ John-Eric Saxén and hes claim about league racing since 2014 and it is also relevant for normal use because of cheating. "Jimmi Alison from VEC: Unfortuantly we´ve found a rather big bug, which is not so friendly to leagues.I wont explain it too much, but people are able to join with cars which isent included in the mod (yes its easy to spot both in results and on server)." This is why VEC and other serious leagues was not using latest builds. :cautious:
You don`t have to ask from me about bugs. Take a look to ISI forums and you find out.
