Is there a penalty for assists in FSR?

I know in other racing games, they try to balance the effects of driver aids by adding weight penalties for those who use them.

I have been using TC low and abs low in the Pro races, but in this summer break I've been training to drive no assists.

Just wondering if it's worth to race like that in Pro or am I just disadvantaging myself unneccesarily?

if you are using aids in the lower division's it will help you, but yes like you said it will add a weight penalty to the car and you will lose about 1 tenth or so, but if you still learning then keep them on, its only in the higher divisions you need to take them off to show your skill

Don't think there is a weight penalty.

I believe it's just a reduction of power on low revs, similar with ABS (less braking efficiency).
