Is it worth having other mods besides RSRBR2015 and if so, which ?

Discussion in 'Richard Burns Rally' started by Ton van Rijn, Feb 15, 2015.

  1. I have installed RSRBR2015 and have signed in for the next RDRC season. Being very slow and a beginner I expect to crash a lot and finish as the very, very last but that doesn't bother me. I hope to learn a lot by joining.

But now I wonder if it is worth to install another mod as well or stay with only RSRBR2015 for the moment. If it is advisable to have another mod as well, which one do you recommend ? I saw RBRWorld, the Czech one and Real Rally, but probably there are some more.

  2. Personally I use CamHack and Workerbee's PaceNote Plugin - both of those are driving aids and should help your driving.

  3. Thanks, but I actually meant other mods to play online so having a broader choice. Or is RSRBR2015 more than enough ?

I would say that RSRBR 2015 is more than enough :)
It also tends to be a slight difference in physics between the mods, so it might be wiser to keep to one :)

I agree with Ole Marius, and in addition, you need to make sure that your RSRBR2015 is a clean, separate install.
If you want to use the other Mods, it is strongly recommended that you keep them on a separate RBR install, which is not too difficult to do, but you need to check other posts here on how to do that.

  6. Thanks.
I did RSRBR2015 indeed in a clean install of RBR.

  7. I just d/l RSRBR2015 and I'm all kinds having some issues, "after" I installed a certain Physics in the same folder. Sounds missing, Physics is all floating, turn radius, etc.
So tonight, I'll have to reinstall everything again.

RSRBR2013-14 was plenty for me, and I don't even compete online...its my "stay-cation" from my regular boring driving.
