A heads up for everybody thinking about doing this one. I've noticed a lot of people are struggling with their shifting technique, causing significant engine damage during the race and causing some of you to be unable to race.

I will be turning off Mechanical Damage for this race.

It's definitely important to have your final drive properly configured for this car. Shifting technique is also key. My rule of thumb for shifting in R3E is to shift at the point where the rev line is about to change from Green to Red. Shifting at that point assures that you are near the optimal shift point and maximize the engine power. For downshifting, I get the feeling some of you are shifting down too quickly. Your downshifts have to be rhythmic and purposeful. My recommendation for corners where you have to go into 2nd, follow a normal downshifting rhythm for all gears up to 3rd, once you need to go into 2nd, wait a little longer than you might think, to lower the revs and makes sure you're in the optimal rev range.

Lorenzon, the spectator mode works great!!!!

I run it in window mode and1080 hd res and found the setting that would give me quality i wanted. but it took watching a few races to find those settings. So, I would say that it is worth the time to dial this in.

Have to try this again - at least I know now that there is a PTP on this car. :D Just noticed you turned off mechanical damage so that will help but thanks also for the tips. I use the clutch but don't practice with mechanical damage on too much so I didn't notice this car was so sensitive to redline shifting. Really I just need to shift sooner so that I don't blow the engine!

If you guys need a setup, @Mike Davies makes setups for all tracks and cars that he drives, so you'll never go setup hungry ever again.

Here's a link to the Formula Raceroom US Mid Ohio setup. I've tried it and it works great. For all you guys that feel like the car isn't planted enough, MORE WING, this car loves it.
