  1. Hi!
My problem is,when I go to a custom online race(I wait in lobby, session starts)and when I`m in the garage, just after the intro ended,I don`t press anything, but it quits the session. After it quits,I got the following message:

    Lost connection to the session

Every time I want to play an online custom grand prix. What should I do?

    My PC specs

    Cooler Master HAF 932 Case
    Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 Mainboard
AMD Phenom II X4 955 CPU
    8GB Kingston HyperX (4x 2Gb) RAM
    2x 1Tb Western Digital HDD
Sapphire HD 5830 1GB GDDR5 PCIE Graphics Card
Spire Black Moon 650w Power Supply
    2 Mbps LAN internet Internet
    Logitech G27 Wheel

    I have the original F1 2011 (CD)

    Please Help Me,David
  2. Does that even happen when you want to host a session?
  3. Yes,every time
  4. Sounds like a firewall/background program issue to me, have you tried lowering security and maybe closing every none essential program?
  5. Quick question first - are you running any database modifications? If so, it could be that.

If you dont have mods, its most likely your network settings, heres a checklist -

    1. Turn off Windows Firewall
    2. If you run a 3rd party firewall, make sure you add rules to allow F1 2011.exe access (incoming & outgoing) to the right ports.
    3. Turn off uPNP on your router (if on) and then manually setup the same ports on your router to be forward to your PC, either by name or IP address (depends on router and whether you have static or dynamic IP set on your PC)

These are the ports - you need to tell your firewall software to allow access to F1 2011.exe, and tell your router to allow access to your PC

    TCP port 80.
    UDP and TCP port 3074.
    UDP port 88
    UDP and TCP port 53
    TCP port 443

Once you 'think' you have done it right, download this little bit of software and check the ports are truely open -

That site above also gives good information on how to forward ports for most popular routers if you are unsure how it all works.

One other alternative for a quick connectivity test is to bypass your router if possible, use a LAN cable, turn off all your firewalls and security and try it that way - just to be sure thats its your network setup thats the problem, and not you ISP.

Shout if you need more help mate.
  6. Yes,I`m having mods.The IA MOD 1.2
  7. Take off the AI mod if you want to play online.
  8. Yup you need to restore the original database files to play online.
  9. Ok thanks
  10. Hello Paul! could u attach a screenshot of the settings? because, Ive done what u said and im losing connection while racing
  11. Now I can play online, but when Im the hoster. Joining any lobby I lost connection, any fix for this?
  12. Have you checked that the ports I mentioned are open in both direction?
  13. yup

I dont know if this causing the problem but I put the ports in Single Port Forwarding or I have to do it in Port Range Forwarding?
  14. No you don't. I play online with my AI Mod and I don't have any problems.
  15. Cool. Doesnt seem to work for anyone else from what I read.
  16. It depends. Try using my mod, if you can't.. I'm gonna be surprised! :D
