How to install?

Discussion in 'F1 2013 - The Game' started by Manolis Sigoulakis, Oct 7, 2013.

  1. My computer can't recognise the CD. What could I do?
  2. I don't know what exactly do you mean by can't recognize it, but try the CD on a different computer. If it doesn't work, return the CD to the shop and get a new one.
  3. OK, thanks Kristian :(

It is like there is no CD in the computer.

  4. It could be your hardware. Try putting a different disc inside.

Redeem the key on Steam, download it off of Steam. Unless your connection has limited traffic / is slow that should be the best solution. :)

Tom is correct. You will have to add you game to Steam anyway.

So why not do it now?

Run Steam > Games Menu > Activate a Product on Steam

Now it will download and install. No need for the DVD ( it's not a CD :) ) after that.

EDIT: I was 20 seconds too late to post, ignore this message.

If the slow down is at your end, there nothing you can do about it.

If it's a Steam problem, you can change the download server location. I have done this before when the UK servers were busy. I pick a server in a part of the world that is asleep, or having breakfast

Steam > Steam Menu > Settings > Downloads Tab > Download Region
  10. It is a general problem at my village, they are fixing something and the speeds are quite slow. They expect it to be fixed by Thursday ;) Thanks anyway :)

I can let you have a couple of tin cans and some string, if you think it would help? :whistling:
