How to create a simple mod with Sketchup

    After all the discussion in the BTB forum of it being like LEGO, that got me thinking.

    The only modding tools I have are Google SketchUp 6 (free) and 3DSimEd v2.6a.

    In simple terms, step by step - How would I create this in SketchUp, are there any special techniques I need? Then, How would I get it fully working in game? Is that even possible with the free version of SketchUp?

    No need for driver anims, as long as there are head physics it will be fine.

    If I need any extra software it should be free.
     
  2. i made some parts to a mod with sketchup PRO as it has .3ds export, and i opend it with simed and exported to .GMT im affraid you need sketchup PRO but YES it is possible..
     
  3. BTW you can model detailed with sketchup but it is a pain to maap textures

    I know how to do the model - it's getting it working in-game that is the issue.
