How do you remove crowds from game , and if its possible does it help with FPS?
It does help.
Enter the following command in "properties" through Steam: -skipcrowds
Can you give me a little more info on how to remove crowds through steam. Thank you.
Go to your library and right clic on Project CARS, then go to the bottom of the list. Look for:
Set Launch Options...
Then type this in: -skipcrowds (yes, the dash must be included)
Let me know how you make out.
OK I did and working , Now what if I feel all alone and I want the crowds back ?
Can you have more than one command in there?
Yes. Here is another good one:
The xx represent your chosen number. I use 60. So, -fpscap60
Did it help? What kind of FPS improvement have you seen?
I run v sync so I'm already at 60 any others you know of?
A lot of the others are disabled right now but I can post a list for you soon.
Jim, if you have an FPS counter could you check to see how high you Max out during any given point in gameplay? I'm just curious.
You can better use the -fpscap command, vsync introduces input lag.
Yes Jim, Frank is right. It will keep your FPS from spiking in the menus as well. This spiking can introduce more heat into your system. With FPS cap enabled it will run smoother and avoid heat build up. Try it with and without V Sync and see how it goes. You may then be able to increase some graphic settings one at a time to get a little more bang for your buck.

Apparently so but adaptive doesn't?
Adaptive only makes it worse; the input lag overall is less but it will be more erratic. On normal v-sync the input lag stays constant. So best is to not use it at all, in any form.
I set it to fpscap61 but I had some slight tearing.
Yeh, I sometimes have tearing too, but it doesn't bother me. I rather have tearing once every hour than input lag ^^.
I don't think I drive fast enough to be bothered by input lag though.
