How do I turn off Babylon

    I just restart firefox and suddenly I have Babylon search engine????? How can I turn it off?

    Babylon is a kind of virus and very very hard to remove.. it's a peice of crap my girl had several problems with as well..

    Well, do this:


    1. delete babylon.xml from Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins.

    2. Type this in your address bar:
    about:config

    Search for every instance of babylon and reset the entries

    • Replace the babylon-setting in keyword.url with http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=
    • Replace the others "search the web (babylon)" with "search the web (google)" and you're good to go.

    Was wondering why a Babylon install file suddenly appeared on our desktop, and queried my wife. She didn't recognise it, so delete I went. Glad to know it was the right thing to do.
