    Event details:
Number of laps: 9 + 1 formation laps (Approx. 20 minutes)
    Fuel usage multiplier: 2x
    Tire wear multiplier: 6x
Pit stop required between lap 4 and 7

    Race 1:
    practice start time:
    GMT 19:00 (30 mins)
Qualification start time: GMT 19:30 free laps
Race start time: GMT 19:40 (9 + 1 formation lap)
    ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ----- ------ ------ ------
    Race 2 :
    practice:
    10 mins
    Qualification: 10 mins
    Race: 9 laps + 1 formation lap

    Formation lap procedure:
When the green light will appear the formation lap will start, the pole sitter will then take the field around the track in a single line at a speed of 80 KMH. during the formation lap you can safely wave gently to heat the tires but it is forbidden to accelerate or brake excessively , it is require to maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you of at least one car length. When you will come back to the starting grid you will see a red rectangular on the tarmac that's your starting box you need to stop in the rectangle, if you over shot it do not back up stay where you are after awhile the game will place you automatically in your box.

    Pitstop and penalty:
During the course of the race you might receive a penalty, for those who are not familiar with rFactor you can either receive a drive through or stop and go penalty, in the case of a drive through penalty simply drive through the pit lane under the pit speed limit and resume racing once out of the pit lane. In the case of a stop and go penalty when you will enter the pit lane the pit menu will appear do not do anything simply stop in your pit box and when told drive out under the pit speed limit and resume racing once out of the pit lane.

to make a pit stop as smooth as possible it is recommended to map the keys you want to use to navigate through the pitstop menu or look at the default keys that are set, it is also recommended to modify your PLR file the following way:
    under
    [ Game Options ]
Relative Fuel Strategy="0" // Show how much fuel to ADD, rather than how much TOTAL fuel to fill the tank up to
Smart Pitcrew="0" // Pitcrew does things even if you mistakenly forgot to ask (one example is changing a damaged tire) Change from 1 to 0
Automatic Pit Menu="4" // brings up pit menu automatically: 0=disabled, 1=upon pit ENTRY, change cockpit menu but do not bring up HUD, 2=pit ENTRY->cockpit & HUD, 3=pit REQUEST->cockpit menu only, 4=pit REQUEST->cockpit & HUD
    Miscellaneous="0"

Note 1: Only use the liveries supplied default and skin pack
Note 2: This is a race to get ready for the Enduro
Note 3: All drivers will have to make a pit stop between lap 4 and 7 and replace all 4 tyres, there are no exceptions to the rule. This is to test that you can make a pitstop for the Enduro event on Sunday

    PLEASE NOTE

Note 3: All drivers will have to make a pit stop between lap 4 and 7 and replace all 4 tyres, there are no exceptions to the rule. This is to test that you can make a pitstop for the Enduro event on Sunday. Even if you don't race on Sunday you still have to pit.

did you have the buttons set up to make a pit stop.
    dgfdgf.png

with LCD mode you can cycle through lots of screens for info whilst on track
by hitting Request Pitstop it brings up your pit menu

and then use LCD up,down, increase, decrease to change values

You can practice a pit stop in the practice session just pull into the pits and make your changes and drive out again,
we could not do this in GTL, but we can in rfactor.:)

Rupe, we did that yesterday with Jarek, we are still a bit puzzled what to do with the fuel, if you take enough fuel for the race, 9+1 lap an you go to the pits for tyres you have to do something with the fuel, maybe before in the strategy about stops?

I think I'm gonna run full race fuel from the start because the pit crew fuel the car and change the tyres separately. It seems like ages while you're sat in the pits. It'll mean adjusting the the amount of fuel to be added via the LCD mode but I'm not sure when the best time to do this would be? I'll try it later but I suspect I can do it either whilst driving down the pit lane or perhaps whilst the crew are changing the tyres?

Edit: You can change the strategy to one stop on the first page of the garage tab and also bring the fuel to be added down to one litre.

For the race you are only obligated to change 4 tyres if you want to also do your fuel that is up to you.
this race and on Thursday is to prepare us for Sunday.
we may need a bit of practice at the formation lap also.
we will see how race 1 goes, but maybe in the practice session for race 2 we can do a couple of starts.

I have in testing done all this and it seemed to work ok, but in a race online it always seems different,
nerves can also play a part so the more we do it the better we should get.
