MGP19 Historical rider teams

Quick question: what exactly do you get if you get the team?
I've not noticed any difference with an unlocked bike where I haven't unlocked the team.
Am I being stupid and missed something obvious?

Pretty sure unlocking the team means your custom rider can ride them or maybe I missed something too?

I have to go to bed, but now you've gone and told me I just have to check and see!

When you unlock them, you can then select to be them in quick mode races for that category.

How do I get the historical bikes? Do I need to win the historical challenges? That's a bit of a bummer to lock things up to encourage people to play, though.

M.Marquez does not belong to 4-strokes, I think. Also in 2-strokes 500 cc grid is too small. Where is L.Cadalora or D.Beattie?
