High end graphics requirements

Hi,

I'm building a PC with a low budget in mind but with the intention to have something I can build on in the future.

For now the only game that is in any way graphically tasking will be Race07, and although anything will be better than the current laptop I use, I'd like to have something that will run Race to pretty much the highest level (not too much of an ask of a four year old game I hope).

Anyway question is, (and I know there are required specs but obviously required doesn't imply that's what you need to run it at maximum levels), would this

card be of sufficient quality to run Race at the highest level? My brother has the 460 and that does, but it's a bit out of my range.

(Will be getting the AMD Phenom X6 CPU)

Any decent GPU cince 2009 will be able to run Race07 with max settings. I got an ancient GTO7900 (i need new PSU for the new card th Rupe sent...) and it can do easily max settings at 1900x1080 even with a secondary monitor showing RTT.

Plugged an old CRT monitor to the second output via DVI-VGA adapter and installed RealTime Telemetry... Most GFX cards are dualhead. That monitor puffed a distinct smell of burnt components, works great thou.. Just waiting to be thrown out.

I use a 512Mb card, old one also, and it does the job as well. Dual without issues as well.

Still waiting for the right opportunity to buy a triple supporting card. Got the screens, but not the card
